Fairly typical crafty micro. Just the single cask (Dark Revolution’s Reboot) which was a murk bomb but served well enough (NBSS 3), so a much-reduced number from the five spotted 10 years previous. Kudos to the barman who could simultaneously not make eye contact whilst serving whilst also cocking about on his phone. Could see why it was not that busy and I didn’t see anything to entice me back, it really did as feel as wet a Sunday atmosphere in here as it was weather-wise outside.

I was meant to be doing a bit of a crawl in Crewe. Cancelled trains meant I had just an hour after my other plans. Just enough time to work through a sketchy part of town to this mirco which was on the list. A fairly classic template shop conversion, with many kegs, 1/3rds and multiple there of options and a single cask. Having had my palate (possibly permanently) ruined by a cask ale in Winsford, I went for a Paulaner Lager. Nicely delivered in correct chalice.

Everything you would expect from a micro, inlcuding the vaguely hipsterish clientelle. If you get hipsters in Crewe.

An excellent well kitted out micro/bottle shop. There were 8 craft beers, 2 ciders and 1 cask on handpump on our visit. Plus a good variety of bottles and cans to choose from opposite the bar.
The craft beer line up was served from taps at the end of the bar, which included Vault City Strawberry Sundae if you like a sour and a porter from Three Blind Mice. The cask beer was from Red Willow Faithless Ekuanut Chinook & Citra, which was superb. There was plenty of seating space both inside and out and one of the main features was the two short brick walls along with capping stones either side of the entrance. There is a bus stop close by, which was handy for getting back into the centre of town.
